The Hannover Tango Festival has twice already been able to excite not only residents of the state capital, but also tango friends from all over Germany.

I am certain that the Third International Tango Festival will match this success once again and will spark off an explosion of dancing passion and zest for life.

The organisers at Tanz Kunst Event have once again been able to put together an attractive programme with international stars from the scene. And once more various special event locations have been selected in Hanover, in which the atmosphere of the impressive dance form is amplified yet more.

I have gladly taken on the patronage of the TANGO IMPULS range of events and am overjoyed about the welcome enrichment to our selection of events.

Tango - it's more than just dance.

Since September 2009 it has belonged to the masterpieces on the list of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, recognised by UNESCO.
Simply put: Tango forms part of the cultural heritage of humanity.
Why that is and just how much expression and power it possesses will be proven once again by the third Hannover International Tango Festival.

I’m looking forward to each of the individual events and hope that they will attract the attendance that they deserve.
